7 Days Meru Tour - Meru Wildlife Safaris | Samburu Adventure - Mt. Kenya Safari club - Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Conservancy Luxury Holiday

7 Days Meru Wildlife Safaris, Samburu Adventure, Mt. Kenya Safari club and Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Conservancy to Nairobi Kenya Safari

The 7 days luxury holiday begins with a scenic drive to Meru National Park. Meru National  Park was made famous by the book Born Free, of author Joy Adamson’s hand-rearing of orphaned lioness Elsa in the Park. The beautiful Rojewero River bisects the Park, and along its banks birdwatchers may be fortunate enough to spot the handsome palm-nut vulture and the very elusive Peter’s finfoot. The wildlife is varied, and numerous. Lion, Leopard and Cheetah are present, as are elephant and buffalo. There are large numbers of Hippo and Crocodile in the River. The next destination is Samburu Reserve, established in 1985, is an arid, hilly region with riverine forests, doum palms, acacia woodland and shrubland, offering a dramatic and rugged landscape in a rather remote location of Kenya. Samburu has a permanent water supply that's like a magnet for the numerous animal species that include the big Cats, herbivores and reptiles such as Crocodiles.
Then further to the crisp Kenyan highlands and the historic Mount Kenya Safari Club, set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens. This exclusive resort offers an experience of refined elegance and luxury, as well as a sense of old Hollywood in its glamorous past.
Then to  Sweetwaters Game reserve. Both Sweetwaters land, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and its sumptuous ranch were once the private domain of famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. Sweetwaters boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya.

The wetter north-western sector is hilly, with rich volcanic soils. Numerous permanent streams cross the Park, and three large rivers straddle the reserve: the Tana to the south, the Ura to the south-west and the Rojeweru to the east. The park was made famous by Joy Adamson, most noted for her book Born Free, the true story of Elsa, the Lioness, and her return into the wild.
