TAS 103 - 5 Days Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Conservancy | Lake Nakuru Lodge Safari | Maasai Mara Luxury Trip

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is a large game reserve in south-western Kenya, which is effectively the northern continuation of the Serengeti National Park game reserve in Tanzania. The Maasai Mara National Reserve covers some 1,510 km2 in south-western Kenya. It is the northern-most section of the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, which covers some 25,000 km2 in Tanzania and Kenya. It is bounded by the Serengeti Park to the south, the Siria escarpment to the west, and Maasai pastoral ranches to the north, east and west. The Sand, Talek River and Mara River are the major rivers draining the reserve. Shrubs and trees fringe most drainage lines and cover hillslopes and hilltops. A Lion in Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Conservancy – Lake Nakuru National Park – Maasai Mara (5 Days /4 Nights) Luxury Lodge Kenya Safari takes you to the Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Conservancy with magnificent views across the plains to the snow capped peaks of Mount Kenya. Then to Lake Nakuru National Park winding off at The Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

Sweetwaters Game Reserve is 90,000-acre private ranch with magnificent views across the plains to the snow capped peaks of Mount Kenya. This game sanctuary is the closest reserve to Nairobi (2.5 hours drive) home to all the big five game, and has the highest ratio of game-to-area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Its popular waterhole is floodlit by night, providing excellent and secluded rarely seen game viewing.
Game drives at Sweetwaters are indeed a pleasure. Game viewing may also take the form of game walks accompanied by our Resident Naturalist, and game rides on Horseback. Camel riding, night game drives and "bush" lunches or dinners are a delight. The Chimpanzee Sanctuary is most informative and entertaining and should all be visited while in the Game Reserve.
Lake Nakuru National Park is dominated by a gentle undulating terrain with open bush and woodlands, typical of the dry Rift Valley vegetation. Twenty seven percent (27%) of the park is composed of the Lake Nakuru waters. The park was declared a Rhino sanctuary in 1983. The Rhino stocking programme which ensued received white Rhinos from South Africa. Currently the sanctuary has approximately 45 black and 31 white Rhinoceros.
The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is Kenya’s most famous and finest game sanctuary especially in the months of June and July each year when the Wildebeests troops in.
